And, Toti comes to rest - just about made it to the tent!
Rodrigo (Toti) Miranda clipped the far bottom corner of the ramp
throwing him off balance and he was heading for shore in the direction you see
in the upper left photograph. Eventually, he fell on the backs of his skis
and seemed to pick up speed. I am sure he could see that meter stand
looming closer and closer. His brother Francisco ran out to stop him but
thought better as they both would have been injured! Toti missed the meter
stand but, when hit the shore, the brakes stood him up-right and his bindings
keep him there. Right to the top of the hill and almost into the skiers'
tent.... The young senorita was introduced to Toti in a rather unusual
way!!
Regarding the meter stand.... an Argentine fix was devised as
per the following photo!
